Moss up; Carter down

The Red Sox said after Thursday's game that they're calling up Brandon Moss and demoting Chris Carter.Clearly, they don't expect Jacoby Ellsbury to land on the DL. They did, however, want a better defensive outfielder for the roster with both Ellsbury and Manny Ramirez hurting. Moss could have a little short-term value in AL-only leagues until the Red Sox get healthier.
