Circus Acts continue in NY - Randolph Fired
The New York Mets (finally) dumped Willie Randolph as their manager this morning. Jerry Manuel will take over as interim manager. Last season, the Mets got off to a fantastic start and were heavily favored to make it to the World Series. He was the first big-league manager to get canned this season. The Mets have a payroll of $138 million and had just won two in a row but are hovering right around the .500 mark.
