The Boston Red Sox's Jed Lowrie slumped down the stretch and in the playoffs this season, and an injury might have been partly to blame. In an e-mail to the Boston Globe on Wednesday, Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein revealed that the infielder played since May with a sprain and a small non-displaced fracture in his left wrist.
